Hello, Friends!

Boy, is a journal update long overdue! I hope life and deviantART has treated you all well these last months. I have been very well, but alas, art-less, as you all know.

I got a job at a grocery store this summer and have since gotten trained in several different positions and gotten a raise, which is exciting. I would love a full time job, but with the job market the way it is where I live, I think I'm doing pretty well. Family life is still very sweet. My stepmom is a babydoll and her and my dad get along wonderfully. She has been instrumental in helping me to recover from the grief of my mom's passing, and has truly helped to heal my family.

Outside of work and hanging with my family, life is a little dull. I've gotten into a Netflix marathon rut, and I'm starting to feel it. I miss making artwork, but for some reason can't motivate myself to do any. I know part of the problem is that my inbox and request list is overflowing, and (in the case of the requests) waaaaay behind schedule. That being said, any requests I had on hold are going to be scrapped. I think most of them were placed well over a year ago, and I'm afraid I just lost my mojo and need to start on a clean slate. I could blame a multitude of things, but I'm just gonna save all our time and not do that. I'm pretty sure I did not have any commissions open and do not owe any points. If that is incorrect, please note me so I can correct the issue!

I'm gonna move forward from here by working through all the lovely messages in my inbox. Doesn't matter how old they are, I'm gonna respond to them all, and get my art mojo back!

Oh! More awesome news! It was to my complete astonishment that I was nominated and given the Angels Without Wings award from the lovely MoonyMina and MayEbony! You ladies are amazing! I know I'm behind on this, but it really and truly touched me when I found out. I've got a lot of beautiful feature journals to peruse, as well as checking out the group to learn more about my new membership.

Friends and watchers, I am sorry if anything in this announcement is upsetting, but I hope you understand where I am coming from. Take care, and remember to never stop creating!
